We are forming two new cohorts that will begin in September, 2007. One will be located in the Herricks School District, the other somewhere in the greater Town of Huntington. Each is being offered at 50% of the standard on-campus graduate tuition rate. Each is 36 credits spread evenly over two years with students finishing at the end of summer, 2009. The Town of Huntington (TOH) cohort will also be our first 50/50 TEAM - 50% tuition/50% online. A cohort (TEAM) consists of 25-30 people and meets on a fixed week night (Tuesdays for the TOH, Mondays for Herricks), from September through June, completing 5 of the 6 required annual 3 credit courses. The 6th course is selected by the student from a variety of summer courses offered in July/August. Some may be online spread over the summer, some may be one week long meeting all day every day for five days. Students from all of our ongoing TEAMs join in these summer offerings offering an opportunity to meet others in the program. The same schedule applies to year two of the program, 2008-2009. Part of the September through May courses are offered in a workshop format permitting students to focus on particular skills or topics. Typically we offer 50+ workshops in each of our Fall and Spring semesters for students to select from. |
